Kauhale Medical Scholars Program
The Native Hawaiian Center of Excellence’s Kauhale Medical Scholars Program is a seven-week summer program created for pre-medical undergraduate students, with future interest in applying to medical school
Kokua Naʻauao Scholarship
This program awards generous scholarships to eligible individuals that appear to be dedicated to providing primary health services to Native Hawaiians and their families in Hawai‘i.

This is a one year program for individuals from socially, educationally, or economically disadvantaged backgrounds that have demonstrated a commitment to serve in areas of need in Hawaiʻi and the US-Affiliated Pacific Island which prepares students to enter JABSOM as a medical student upon completion.

This program provides research opportunities and training for UH undergraduate students. Having experience in research may help to strengthen your medical school application.

The Hawaii Pre-Health Career Corps is a free year-round program for students of any age who want to pursue a health career. Its purpose is to increase awareness about health careers, provide mentoring, shadowing and research experiences, and provide campus exposure to health careers. This program is for students who live in Hawaii or have ties to Hawaii.

The Health Careers Summer Internship is a six-week paid internship program open to high school juniors and seniors and college students that gives students firsthand experience in health care.

Through this 8 week program, students complete a research project with a physician mentor and participate in community service, career-talks with physicians, visits to medical facilities, and clinical shadowing opportunities.
